The Highlights
The centerpiece of Norway's pavilion is a cobblestone courtyard that is surrounded with replicas of historic Norwegian buildings and traditional cottages, including the Akershus Castle and a stave church. You'll also see a cascading waterfall and plenty of additional architecture and designs representative of Oslo, Bergen and Alesund.
Features
The Maelstrom is the pavilion's only real attraction: a boat ride through Viking seafaring history. There's also an art gallery in the stave church and several shops to find Norwegian items and gifts. Eat at the Restaurant Akershus--a sit-down restaurant offering a cold buffet ("koldtboard") and a selection of native entrees.
