The Scene – Understated--round paper lanterns, rice paper in partitions and lots of gleaming wood. Contrasting dark cabinets carved with Buddhist verses and a display of decorative saucers back the open sushi bar. Food arrives at a leisurely pace (especially for a raw entree), but servers willingly explain what's what. – – The Food – Beautifully presented and fish-centric. The a la carte sushi menu offers more than 60 choices, but at $3-10.95 per piece, these labor-intensive delicacies add up. Heartier entrees include tempura, cutlets, and, since one of the…

pretty good sushi, not the best

by db024

I left my meal here very confused by my experience. On one hand the sushi special i had (tiburon roll) was incredible and loaded with fresh ahi tuna, however, the service was mediocre at best and it seemed that our server couldn't understand anything we were asking or describe any of the rolls very helpfully. The other rolls we ordered were just sort of ok, maybe ill try this again and give it another chance.

  • Pros: sushi specials
  • Cons: service

good outlook, terrible sushi

by leda1301

i ate at the Sandlake location of Seito Suhsi yesterday. It was disgusting. I traveled a lot around the world, and lived in several countries including Japan. I have been to countless sushi restaurants until today, so I know a few things about sushi. Not all of my experiences were good in all these sushi restaurants, but my experience in Seito was clearly the worst. I ordered a lunch menu. 3 pieces sushi and about 6 pieces sashimi arrived. Sushi choices were very unfortunate. An inedible crab, stringy tuna and long dead, tatseless shrimp. Rice was not good either. Then the actual worst was the sashimi. 2 super thick slices of salmon were inedible. Even thinking about it now, turn my stomach. 2 super thick tuna pieces were so stringy so after I chew a little I had to take it out and put it back on my plate. It was disgusting. The other two pieces were not clear what kind of fish. Again thick, still had skin on it. They were not sushi cuts. They were basically pieces of raw fish. These people really don't know anything about sushi and sashimi preparations. If you care about what you eat, go somewhere else. If you don't care about the food, but would like a cool atmosphere you can try this place. I would never go back there again, nor I would recommend it anybody else.

  • Pros: nice decoration, friendly service
  • Cons: the worst sushi/sashimi ever

amazing, good

this place is soo good...if you want GOOD sushi in orlando or anywhere, go here. There isn't a place in town that beats this place, along with a couple of others. Their servers are very attentive if you have any changes or requests. Their rolls are just really good...

try getting the spicy tuna anywhere else and it is not good compared to this place. Delicious food, if it's not even the sushi, their dishes are good...I had been there once and remembered it to be a good place. Ive been going to several other places in town and know that the sushi at those places was rarely good. Then I went back to seito and I can't go anywhere else for sushi. The rolls are also reasonably priced and some are even cheaper than other places, and bigger. so you're getting better bigger rolls, for less money, than at other places where you can't even compare.

  • Pros: fresh good sushi, good service
  • Cons: small dining area, can get crowded

The restaurant has designated a raised platform with two tables for its "tatami" area, but diners sit on legless chairs, not on the floor on a traditional straw mat.

Someone had fun naming the sushi: Lava Roll, Hurricane Roll, Dragon Skin Roll,Kamikaze Roll, Millenium [sp.] Roll and the Rock n Roll.
