Lily Lake Park in Maitland. This park does not look like much from the drive in. The water is beautiful, but it just looks small. As you walk around you find out how awesome this park is. You can walk along a wonderful paved/boardwalk around the lake. Also there are several historic buildings which are awesome. For photographers there are many great sites including a railroad track running along back of the park. Great bathrooms and a cute little shaded park for the kids.…
BEAUTIFUL FOR WEDDINGS. This park is where I hosted my wedding. They did everything that I needed them to. They pressure washed the cement and moved the benches from the Gazebo. The overlook of the lake was great. They only thing that I do regret was the construction that was going on right over the hill. It was especially great that they had a Maitland City worker there to watch over my wedding. Incase anything went wrong.…
Trash floating on the lake surface?. I can tell you it is a beautiful lake!!! BUT the City does such a pathetic job on cleaning. There is filth on the walkway and the "clean after you pet" law is very poorly enforced. The fountain lights are not turned on regularly. You can very clearly see the filth just floating away on the surface of the lake. It's an awful sight and it is a shame for the city residents and visitors. Does the city care?…
Serene, upscale landscaping, lots of shade, close to culture and perfect for strolling and jogging..
In Short
It's one of the local treasures in Orlando, filled with brick walkways, playgrounds, workout stations, many shaded picnic areas, a long brick boardwalk and a fountain in the center
of Lake Lily. Walkways are for strolling and jogging, as is the boardwalk. The back end of the park contains many shady glens, ideal for picnics or romantic interludes. Pastures have enough room for Frisbee and other activities of the sort, including sunbathing.…
Another romantic park. This is a wonderful little park hidden away. Although it's right on 17/92 you can barely notice. Aside from being a nice little park around a like, there is a fountin with colored lights, a lighted gazebo (lite all the time), and a very old brick walkway. It does border on the rainroad tracks, so sometimes you might hear a train go by. I definetely recommend it as a late night free spot .…
