Orlando >Emerils Restaurant Orlando
Make sure you call ahead for a reservation!. This restaurant is truly one of my favorites in Orlando. The service is outstanding, the ambiance is intimate, lively, and can be romantic all at the same time, and the food is definitely worth the price. The waiting list is long however, so reservations are a must. If you happen to be in the area and have not called ahead, you may get lucky and have a chance at sitting in the bar area and still have full access to the menu.
Celebrity chef Emeril Lagasse's Citywalk restaurant kicks up Orlando cuisine to notches unknown..
Inventive and bold, yet conventionally elegant, this popular CityWalk restaurant is highlighted by large, flashy colors, oversized art prints and shimmering glass. The exceptional serving staff circles around the multilevel dining room like generals over a battlefield, without the stuffiness you'd expect. Long lines makes getting a seat difficult. Fan of the chef? Lagasse makes occasional appearances. The creative, changing menu features everything from New Orleans classics to bold new creations with creative twists.
Not your usual International Drive Fare. This place is yummy. We went here with another couple and ordered the degustation menu with the wine paring. Wow! I completely recommed Emerill's Universal. We usually do not like any of the I-Drive, Disney area restaurants, but this one takes the cake. Completely outstanding.
Very very disappointing. We made reservations 6 mos. in advance, and still had to wait 45 minutes to be seated. Staff was horrible, from manager on down to the busboy. We barely saw the waiter, and the busboy spilled ketchup all over me and my son's diaper bag. No one apologized, and I got a trash bag to take out my diaper bag in. We had to fly home with a ketchup covered diaper bag in the suitcase. We will not be back to overpay for bad service, I don't care how good the meal was!
28th anniversary dinner. We had salads, pork chop for the missus, fish du jour for me. $85 bottle of red wine was served chilled. Overall, a better choice for the money and atmosphere would have been Fleming's. Was expecting the "wham" of Cajun inspired cooking, received at best mediocre over-priced food at best.
Great Experience!. We celebrated my husband's birthday at Emeril's and the service was excellent. We were seated in the patio area so noise wasn't an issue. We thought the food would be fattening because of the way Emeril cooks on his show but actually it wasn't. There's alot of seafood items on the menu. The Banana Cream pie was excellent! Reservations are definitely recommended. We saw them turn away guests w/o reservations. They say long sleeves are recommended for men but we saw many men w/ short sleeves and shorts!
Universals best lunch. Disappointing for dinner, loud, crowded, rushed but GREAT at lunch! Keep in mind, though a good experience for kids, soda refills are pricey, if your child is not an adventuresome little gourmand, get a burger
UNBELIEVABLE BAAAAAM. It was better than expected. I had read that it was a high price for the the value. I was pleasantly suprised. For Orlando prices i thought it was an awesome deal. Food - GREAT
Service - BEST
Cost - REASONABLE
You have to go!!!!!!!!!!!
Best Place in Orlando !!!!!!!!!!.
This is what a restaurant should be like. The food awesome, the service impecable, the price's right, and ideal location. Can't wait to have my very own Emeril's in Miami (The Loews Hotel, opening Nov.)
This is the place to eat in the Orlando are...no questions asked !!!!
Acoustics. Five women could not yell loud enough to be heard over the din. They need to do something to absorb sound so that people can talk to each other. Not a good place for a romantic dinner unless you are just into staring in each other's eyes.
