Overview – The park, set to look like a larger-than-life movie studio, creates an environment that appeals to both film buffs and state-of-the-art-entertainment seekers. – – The Experience – Guests walk through fives sections--Hollywood Boulevard, Sunset Boulevard, New York Street, Mickey Avenue and Animation Courtyard--each with its own root in a specific myth of moviemaking. When it comes to food, expect high prices and middle-of-the-road American fare: hamburgers, chicken, hot dogs, pizza, etc. Choose from table-service (at the popular re-creation of the legendary…
Suuper fun :)

Being a big classic Hollywood fan, I was ecstatic to visit this park during my stay in Orlando. I loved it. Their main ride, the Rockin' Rollercoaster was very fun and pretty fast for a Disney ride. Star tours was my favorite, though. A lot of great trivia and funny (cheesy) skits. Overall, it was different from Universal Studios and maybe a little more fun. I hope to come back some day.
- Pros: just like a movie studio, entertaining
- Cons: pricey
Cool park, great shows
by joy0302
This park has the best shows in WDW. The Beauty and the Beast stage show is just about as good as the Broadway version, the only reason it is not is that it is shorter, but you have to get the crowds in and out! Fantasmic is the best show that Disney has done to date. This show is so visually creative, from the live actors, to the fireworks, burning water, animation projected on the waves, and the characters on the barge at the end. It is stunning from start to fininsh. I will never visit Disney and miss this show despite seeing it many times already. There is a variety of food choices here, the Sci-Fi Dine In theater is a really cool place for the family and the Hollywood & Vine is a character buffet with great food. They have some of the larger rides at WDW there at Disney Studios, Star Tours, Rockin Rollercoaster, Tower of Terrror. If you have smaller children there are not many rides for them, but there are many shows that will keep there attention, such as the Little Mermaid. This park represents Hollywood in the entrance and NYC closer to the back. It is nice in the daytime, but gets really pretty at night, when everything is lit up. Tower of Terror looks more eerie lit up and the rest of the park is gleaming including the sorcerer hat in the center of the park. If you only have half a day to spend there make it in the late afternoon.
- Pros: Fantasmic, rides for the more daring
- Cons: Not many rides for smaller children
MGM Beats Universal Hands Down

From the moment you arrive you feel you are in another world. No, not the Twilight Zone, although if you ride the Tower of Terror you will be; no a world that sparks the imagination. This park has something for everyone 8-100 but it is really better if you are in the 10 and up crowd. The rides are great, especially the aforementioned Tower of Terror and the Aerosmith Rockin Roller Coaster but don't forget Star Tours and the quieter Great Movie Ride, and the Backstage Tour. Also don't miss the Muppet 3D and the Magic of Disney Animation, very cool although better for inquisitive adults.
Whatever you do, don't miss Fantasmic and Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular.
- Pros: Fantasmic, Good Food, Street Entertainment
- Cons: Walking, EarlyAfternoon Crowds
